The most recent book that I picked up was Ford Country by John Grisham; it’s a collection of his short stories.I have been out of touch with reading for a while. Guess, I was going through some kind of readers block (smiling)!
I desperately needed to get back to my reading habits and felt short stories was the perfect way to put me on track.Not only would it help to retain my interest,but also get to read a lot of stories at one go,so I just went for Grishams collection of stories.My favourite author used to be Sidney Sheldon, now its Dan Brown, Jeffery Archer and Khaled Hosseini who wrote The Kite Runner.If you notice the one thing common among all my favourites are that they write fiction and the pace they maintain is racy.
That’s what I like in my books. I don’t like to read anything that puts me off to sleep. Having said that, I must say I enjoy reading all the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. The short stories in it are really touching and sweet, and leaves me teary eyed every time I read them.
