According to sources, Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in by ace filmmaker Shankar for his magnum opus Endhiran. One of the costliest films to be made in the country with a big budget of over Rs 125 crore, the movie features top stars Rajinikanth and Big B's bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. While Rajini plays a dual role of a robot and a scientist, Ash comes as a student. The movie is an action thriller interlaced with romance and is produced by Sun Pictures.
Shankar was keen on getting Big B for an interesting cameo and when the Bollywood actor was approached at the beginning of the film's shooting about two years ago, he had promised to do one.Recently, the Pa star was in Chennai and visited the Sun Studios on ECR Road where most of the scenes are being canned for Endhiran with specially erected sets by Sabu Cyril. Reliable sources confirm that Amitabh will feature in an exciting cameo -a friend of scientist Rajini, the scenes for which were shot here.
