Vijay’s Period Drama Madharasapattinam Has Been Censored

  • Director Vijay’s period drama Madharasapattinam set in Madras of the 1930’s and 40’s has been censored by the Regional Censors in Chennai.

    The 2 hours 43 minutes film has been appreciated by the censor board members who have given it a clean ‘U’ certificate without any cuts.

    The film has Arya and Amy Jackson in the lead along with Alexx O'Nell, Nassar ,late Cochin Hanifa and Bala Singh. The film has been produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram under his AGS banner and has music by GV Prakash.

    Says Vijay: “Madharasapattinam is a good entertainer which is sure going to be lapped up. I’m very happy that the censors have given it a clean ‘U’, so that the entire family can enjoy it.” AGS , the producers are trying for a July first week release.
