Anushka Purchased A Sprawling Bungalow In Chennai

Anoushka Sheety a la Anoushka, easily the tallest actress in South India, has reportedly purchased a sprawling bungalow in Chennai and has decided to make the city her home. The leggy lass was somewhat upset with the failure of her Vijay-starrer ‘Vettaikaran’, which was her first film in Tamil after a long hiatus.

Anoushka debuted as Madhavan’s heroine in the film ‘Rendu’ a few years back, The film, directed by Sundar C, flopped miserably at the box-office, forcing Anoushka to seek solace in Telugu films. She acted in a few hit movies before ‘Arundhati’, which released early last year and broke many a box-office record, became a super-duper hit in Tamil and Telugu.

Thanks to the super success of ‘Arundhati’, Anoushka staged a comeback in Tamil films through ‘Vettaikaran’ which unfortunately proved a dud at the box-office despite Vijay’s presence in the film. Not the one to lose heart, Anoushka starred in Suriya’s ‘Singam’ as Suriya’s heroine. Now that the film has been declared a super-hit by the trade industry, Anoushka is extremely happy.

She is particularly in a joyous mood as the tag of being an ‘unlucky’ actress and is excited to be part of a hit film in Tamil. In order to enable her to act in more Tamil films and to facilitate directors/ producers to sign her up, Anoushka has now moved into a sprawling new bungalow.
