  • Vikram, who made all heads turn to him with his brilliant performance in Sethu, keeps proving with every film that he's the best. Pithamagan just reiterated it and then he waltzed into our hearts with Kanthasamy, not only with his brilliant acting, but also as a singer. Think Vikram and it's perseverance that comes to your mind.

With the film living up to the hype and hoopla, the actor is now gearing up for his maiden Bollywood venture Raavan, which is also made simultaneously in Tamil as Raavanan. Guess who is directing it? One of India's finest directors Mani Ratnam; what more can he ask for! The actor is all set to create history again by playing the role of Ram and Raavan.

Puzzled? He plays the role of a cop Dev Pratap Sharma (Ram) in the Hindi version and in Raavanan (Tamil version), he is Veera, a tribal head who is undisputed, unlawful and untamed. Speaking exclusively to Galatta.com, the energetic actor said he is happy to make his Bollywood debut under ace director Mani Ratnam. However, he confirmed he will never quit Tamil films.

"I am very excited about Raavan as the film will definitely help to increase my audience base. Working with Mani sir is a dream come true. And his energy is unbelievable. But my first priority is always Tamil films."

Guess who is his onscreen inspiration? It's none other than the Big B of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. "When it come to films, I want to be like Amitabh Bachchan, for the variety of roles he has enacted in his career. I always love to reinvent myself as an actor in every film that i do."
