Kerala Government Are Felicitating Kamal Hassan

The Malayalam Film Industry and The Kerala Government are felicitating Kamal Hassan on August 22, 2010.

This event follows the signing up of a Malayalam Film by Kamal Hassan after 23 years since he worked in a Malayalam Film.

Earlier Kamal Hassan was criticized in the Tamil Film Industry for his acting looked like that of Malayalam actors which the actor himself confessed.

Kamal Hassan has been in the industry for more than 50 years ever since he acted in ‘Kalathur Kannamma’ as a five year old.

Kamal Hassan then overcame this criticism and became a ‘Universal Hero’ with his subtle expressions and drastically offbeat makeovers.

His attempts at writing neat and magnificent screenplays were also laudable.

Kamal Hassan truly deserves felicitation from both the Kerala Government and the Malayalam Film Industry.

Mohanlal, Mammootty, Jeyaram and other actors from Mollywood are expected to be present on this occasion while a lot of Kollywood actors have also been invited.
