Sexually assaulting case was filed against Malayalam film actor Nivin Pauly

 


On Tuesday, a rape case was filed against Malayalam film actor Nivin Pauly after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her at a hotel in Dubai last year, claiming he had promised her a film role. Pauly has refuted these claims.

The woman, hailing from Ernakulam district, also implicated five others, including a producer, in her complaint, with Pauly listed as the sixth accused in the FIR.

In an Instagram post, Pauly stated that the allegations are “completely false” and that he intends to address the issue through legal means. 

“I have encountered a defamatory news report suggesting that I abused a girl. Please understand that this is entirely false. I am committed to going to great lengths to prove these allegations unfounded and will take all necessary actions to reveal those responsible. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be dealt with legally,” he wrote.

The investigation will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team established to look into sexual misconduct allegations from the Malayalam film sector, following the release of the Justice Hema Committee's report last month.
