Actor Arvind Swamy Filed A Petition In A Family Court For Divorce
Arvind Swamy and his wife have filed a petition in a family court for divorce by mutual consent. Principal family court judge Ramalingam, before whom the petition came up for hearing adjourned further hearing of the case to December 1.Arvind, who started his career with the Tamil film Thalapathi, has acted in many popular movies including Roja and Minsara Kanavu.Arvind Swamy and Gayatri got married in 1994 and have a son and a daughter. They filed a petition for divorce citing domestic disharmony.
Meanwhile, actress Vindhya and her husband Gopi, a producer, also appeared before a family court in connection with a divorce case on Tuesday. Gopi and Vindhya were married in 2008, but have been living separately for a while. While Gopi filed a petition seeking divorce, Vindhya filed a petition seeking restoration of her conjugal rights.When the petitions came up for hearing on Tuesday, Gopi and Vindhya appeared in person and participated in counselling held for nearly two hours at a mediation centre. Principal family court judge Ramalingam later adjourned further hearing of the case to July 7.
