Shah Rukh Khan On Enthiran Controversy

It was well known that ‘Robot’ or ‘Enthiran’ was offered to Shah Rukh Khan initially probably after Kamal Hassan denied acting in the film. Shah Rukh Khan cited that the film’s script was immature and so he would not act in the film.

Later, Robot was offered to Rajnikanth who did it gracefully and made it a Rs. 200 crore film (the highest in India). Rajnikanth made it bigger than ever and Shankar released the film in Hindi where there was a catch. The problem was unexpected and Shankar had to talk to Shah Rukh Khan to solve the problem.

Shah Rukh Khan had already held the title ‘Robot’ which was registered under his name and was going to start a film on the same title soon but while Shankar spoke to him. Shah Rukh’s response was awaited. Shah Rukh Khan, who is known to express solidarity with his South Indian counterparts, was thought to act differently on parting with the title.

Shah Rukh Khan, as his own self, offered the title to Shankar and declared that he would not want the title in the future. Hence, Enthiran will release with the same name ‘Robot’ in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.
