South Indian Filmfare Awards On 7th August

The South Indian Filmfare Awards function will be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on 7th August. The announcements for the nominations for the awards were done in a press meet by Filmfare editor Jithesh Pillai and Idea Cellular CEO Srinivas.

Thamanna was the chief guest. Jithesh Pillai while speaking said,” The 57th Filmfare awards function is to be held on August 7th. The awardees are selected based on the votes of the general public.

The public have voted for 10 different categories in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Nominees drawn from the responses have been shortlisted and specially appointed juries have been set up to help choose the final winners. South Indian Film Industry calls this award as Oscar Award. 450 films are competing.”

Thamanna while speaking on this occasion said,” These kinds of awards will motivate the actors. I have acted with leading actors like Surya, Karthi, Vijay and Dhanush. I cannot say that a particular person has attracted me. Each one of them as an individuality.

We should see that only that All the actresses yearn to act with Rajnikanth. I am also waiting for that opportunity. If anybody asks me who my favourite actor is, I would say Hrithik Roshan. There is truth in that the actresses are trying to retain their number one position. This is a healthy trend.”
