Kollywood Has Been Gearing Up To Face Endhiran

It had always been the case that out of the 130 or so films produced in Kollywood each year, one Rajnikanth’s film would take away most of the profit earned in that particular year by other films. This has sent shiver down the spine for Kollywood.

This could be one of the reasons for Rajnikanth’s acting in one film after two years. It is like Sachin Tendulkar playing only the most important matches to leave room for other players in less important matches. Kollywood has been gearing up to face ‘Endhiran’ this time. The mega budget film is made at a whopping budget of Rs. 200 crores and the overseas rights are purchased by HBO.

Endhiran will also have its music launch taking place at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on July 31. The audio company under whose label the film’s songs will be released is maintained as a top secret till the launch where it will be revealed. Endhiran’s songs have been sold for Rs. 7 crore which is higher than any other film so far. The songs are already expected to be super hits with AR Rahman’s music. Endhiran’s cinematography is done by popular cameraman Rathnavelu.

Now, the entire Kollywood is looking forward towards the release of ‘Endhiran’ as most of the films cannot be released during this period except for films that expect to be sold when people do not get tickets for Endhiran. The post production work of Endhiran is carried out in expectations of completing the film in August. Most of the post production work was carried out as the shoot was in progress. So, Endhiran is set for an August release as post-production is done swiftly.

Those of the ‘leading actors’ who wanted their films to be released in ‘August’ has been hoping for ‘Endhiran’ to be released later. It is, nevertheless, good news for all the fans. Endhiran is set to be released in ‘China’ as well following ‘Japan’.
