Rajnikanth Hospitalised After Complained Of Breathing Trouble

Tamil superstar Rajnikanth, whose new film was launched today, was hospitalised here after he complained of breathing trouble.

The superstar, who took part in the first day’s shooting of his new venture "Rana", suffered breathing problem and was rushed to Isabells Hospital in the city, sources said.

However, his condition stated to be stable, sources said.After visiting her husband at the hospital Rajnikanth’s wife told newspersons that the superstar was fine and there was nothing to worry.

She said Rajnikanth had a minor stomach infection after he ate something at the pooja held for his new film "Rana" at the studios here.

Following this, he started vomiting and was admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure, she said.

"There is nothing to worry. He is fine and in the safe hands of the doctors", she said and appealed to media not to sensationlise it, and his fans not to panic.

She said "we are also like any other citizen. Jus as you visit a doctor in the event of any illness, we have also come to the hospital," she said.

Jeeva, Karthika starrer Rangam, the dubbed version of the Kollywood film KO will soon hit the big screens.

Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that the film might soon be remade in Hindi version with Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Akshay, who has recently watched the film is said to have impressed with the script and director’s work and have already started his negotiations with the producers of KO for its remake rights.

If the discussions end fruitfully, Akshay gets the rights and he might produce it under his Hari Om Movies banner with Anthony D’Souza as director.

It is also heard that the filmmakers have also informed Vijay, Mahesh Babu, Arya, and Anushka to de-freeze, their dates given for Ponniyin Selvan.

Mahesh was quite happy signing this bilingual with the ace director Mani Ratnam.However, this historical project is called-off due to its over-budget of approximately 100 Crores.

Producers and the corporate houses are not ready to risk on the film in the current situations.

Also, the movie doesn’t offer any commercial elements and Mani Ratnam’s previous outing Raavan resulting as disaster is making the producers think twice. As of now, the movie has been shelved.

The project will kick-start, if any of the producers or the corporate houses are willing to invest an amount of 100 crores.

The First Look Campaign For Vijay Entertainer Velayudham

Leading production house Aascar Films and producer V Ravichandran has started the ’first look campaign’ for his big budget Vijay entertainer Velayudham.

The mass entertainer is directed by M Raja and stars Vijay, Genelia, Hansika and Saranya Mohan in pivotal roles and Santhanam, MS Bhaskar, Sathyan, Pandirajan, Sayaji Shinde and 14 villains mainly from Mumbai. The film has music by Vijay Antony and Priyan is the cameraman.

According to a press statement issued by Aascar Films: "80 per cent of the film is complete. Vijay plays a milkman in the film, with Saranya Mohan playing his sister. Genelia is a journalist and Hansika is
Vijay’s love interest. There are five songs and six deadly action scenes in the film choreographed by Anal Arasu."

Velayudham is likely to release around Vijay’s birthday (June 22), and the film is one of the hottest in the trade.

Deiva Thirumagan Had A Lot Of Problems Regarding Its Title

Vikram’s Vijay directed Deiva Thirumagan had a lot of problems regarding its title.

First producer Mogan Natarajan and his team had wanted the title Deivamagan, a famous Sivaji Ganesan film whose title rights were with Sivaji Films.

They refused to part with the title as they wanted it to be given to the launch title of actor Prabhu’s son Vikram. It was then that director Vijay and his team came up with an even more catchy title Deiva Thirumagan.

Now leaders of the Thevar community have demanded that such a name should not be given to a film.

Their point was the title film of is misleading as their great leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar was known in the community as Deiva Thirumagan .

The Tamil Nadu unit of the Shiva Sena under its leader Dhiraviya Pandian met chief minister Karunanidhi and has requested him to persuade the producers of Deiva Thirumagan to change the films title.

Movie Review: Mr Perfect Prabhas Kajal Film

Movie: Mr Perfect

Cast: Prabhas, Kajal, Taapsee, Nassar, Murali Mohan, Prakash Raj

Mr Perfect seems to be a result of director Dasarath’s hangover from his previous films Santhosham and Suswagatham.

To be frank, instead of Prabhas, his lady love Kajal steals the show with her beauty and pleasing performance. Despite the imperfections, its release during the summer holidays will, in probability, ensure Mr Perfect success.

The storyline is simple: Vicky (Prabhas) is a serious young man who studies in Australia. He goes by a steadfast principle – I shall not budge for anything I don’t like. He believes he is Mr Perfect.

When he visits India for his sister’s marriage. his father (Nassar) and his friend (Murali Mohan) hope to get Vicky married to the latter’s daughter, Priya (Kajal). However, the pair can’t stand each other.

But soon the hatred flowers into love. Priya even changed herself to suit her man’s desires.

Vicky then returns to Australia, where he meets another beauty, Maggi (Taapsee). He believes he has made the perfect match for himself. However, things begin to change rapidly. He finds himself in a strange situation that forces him to choose between pure love and principled love. What happens next forms the crux of the movie.

As usual, Prabhas is neat in his performance, and in some angles there is a feel among the audiences that the Dasarath has been influenced by Allu Arjun’s performance in Aarya 2.

Kajal Agarwal proves that she is the beauty queen of Tollywood with her vivid expressions, and chic onscreen presence.

Taapsee’s role is etched out well, to present the contrast between serious love and obsession. Dasarath reserved Taapsee for hot scenes instead of Kajal, going by the formulaic presentation of the glamour portions.

K Vishwanath is dignified. Prakash Raj displays some variety in his characterisation. The other stalwarts of Telugu screen - Sayaji Shinde, Nassar, and Brahmanandam - are up to the mark.

Raghu Babu’s role is quite bad, while Master Bharath’s is routine.

Director Dasarath should be appreciated for his clean, family-oriented outlook, keeping under check all the elements that are not his forte. He is one director who makes the heroines say something about themselves and do something for the movie rather than merely dancing and romancing.

The screenplay is slow, but interesting, and remains unpredictable till the end of the film. Cinematography adds that much required fizz to the movie, coupled with scintillating locations.

The songs are nice, though you don’t have a duet. Devi Sri Prasad dominated certain scenes with splendid scores.

However, compared to the first half, the second half is weak. The director should have taken more care in developing the emotional scenes. The sermonising about love is taxing, too.

Verdict: Entertaining

I’ve Always Loved To Work With Aamir-Rani Mukerji

Actor Rani Mukerji just can’t stop beaming. She is about to rub shoulders with her Ghulam (1998) and The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey (2005) co-star Aamir Khan again, this time in Reema Kagti’s next film, Zakhmi.

“That’s the next film I’m doing. It’s amazing because I’ve always loved to work with Aamir, and now that I’m doing a film with him again, it’ll bring back the memories of all the times that we’ve shared during Ghulam and The Rising...,” says the 33-year-old, who will be honoured by the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy for her ‘outstanding performance’ as a scribe in her last outing, No One Killed Jessica.

After giving Darsheel Safary a dream launchpad with Taare Zameen Par, actor-producer-director Aamir Khan has now praised and extended support to the child actor and his movie Zokkomon, that released on Friday.

Aamir showered praise and extended good wishes to Darsheel when the Zokkomon team, including director Satyajit Bhatkal and actress Manjari Phadnis, visited his Bandra house to invite him for a special screening of the movie.

"I am very excited to watch this action adventure by Disney which is known for quality films, and especially since it has Darsheel in a brand new superhero avatar. He will always be my superhero in real life too," said Aamir.

The actor also wished good luck to the director, and hopes the film gets a good reception at the box office.

"Satyajit has been a close childhood friend and I have known him since years. I was proud to have produced his National Award winning documentary and I wish him all the best for his debut! This is a very different kind of film and will be a special treat for kids in summer vacations and family audiences as well," added Aamir.

Zokkomon is an action adventure film full of special effects.

The bash was at one of London’s most exclusive lounge-bars Nobu, where you can find the finest sushi dishes in the city.

Says a unit source, "It is one of the most expensive and exclusive restaurants in London. Yesterday was the last day of the Desi Boyz schedule in London.

Normally, the producers throw a wrap-up party after a schedule ends but Akshay told the producers (Eros) that he was so happy with the way that the entire London schedule went by that he wanted to throw a huge party for the cast and crew."

The source adds that co-stars John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Akshay’s close friends Farah Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala (who are also in London on work) attended the party along with director Rohit Dhawan.

The source continues, "Akshay told producer Krishika Lulla that he loved the way Rohit has shot the film. It was a 40-day schedule and throwing a party for everyone was AK’s way of showing his appreciation. He invited everybody -- from the spot boys to all the unit hands and took care of them all personally."

Says Krishika, "Akshay said he wanted to throw the party himself. He wanted me to join too but I had to stay back in Mumbai for work. Elizabeth Hurley's First Reality TV Show Postponed

Actress Elizabeth Hurley’s first reality TV show, which was due to be telecast later this month, has been postponed indefinitely.

The model-actress has documented life on her farm in Gloucestershire in a new documentary titled Living With Elizabeth Hurley.

’Liz thinks it’s airing in September but we don’t know when it’s coming out. However, we’re still 100 percent committed to it,’ dailystar.co.uk quoted a Sky Living (the channel’s) spokesman as telling the News of the World.

According to the reports, the series will be re-edited to remove scenes featuring Hurley’s estranged husband Arun Nayar.

Prince William Wedding's Live Streaming On Youtube

Palace officials will offer live streaming of the April 29 royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton on the royal channel on YouTube.

The four-hour live Internet coverage will include the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, the procession to Buckingham Palace, and the newlyweds’ appearance on the palace balcony for an expected first public kiss. William’s press office will also provide a live blog providing commentary and historical information as well as additional footage.

"The couple wish to strike a balance between a day that is sacred and intimate and a day that will be a cause for global celebration," a St. James’s Palace spokesman said Tuesday, declining to be identified because of palace policy. "To that end, they want the wedding to be as accessible to as many people as possible and that’s why they are communicating in this way."

Officials said the couple have taken a hands-on approach the wedding planning.

"William and Catherine have thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating their special day. They have been responsible for everything from the smallest detail, such as the reception canapes, to the big decisions like the carriages," he added.

Officials said this will be the first time YouTube has run a live blog alongside a live stream for an event.

The palace also plans to post addition royal wedding-related photos on Flickr leading up to the wedding, and expand its coverage on the Official Royal Wedding website, which has seen more than 8 million page views since its launch.

An official souvenir program will be produced for sale to crowds lining the parade route. It will cost 2 pounds ($3.20).

The program will include Middleton’s new coat of arms, which uses an acorn to symbolize strength and continuity.

The coat of arms, unveiled Tuesday, was approved by Thomas Woodcock, the garter king of arms who advises Queen Elizabeth II on the granting of coats of arms and other ceremonial and heraldic matters.

It shows three acorns that represent the three Middleton children — Kate, Pippa and James — and reflects the many oak trees in the English countryside village of Bucklebury where they live. The coat of arms also includes chevrons that represents hills and mountains in a reference to the outdoor activities the family enjoys.

Officials said Carole and Michael Middleton, the bride’s parents, and the rest of the family helped design the new coat of arms.

"While its purpose is to provide a traditional heraldic identity for Catherine as she marries into the royal family, the intent was to represent the whole Middleton family together, their home and aspects of what they enjoy," said Woodcock.

Woodcock said after the royal wedding, Kate Middleton will place her family’s coat of arms next to those of Prince William in what is known as "an impaled Coat of Arms."

This will require a royal warrant from the queen, he said.

It is Jiiva’s biggest ever opening as far as the number of screens is concerned.

Today (April 19), there was a special screening of the film for Udhayanidhi Stalin whose Red Giants are marketing the film, and music director Harris Jayaraj at Four Frames preview theatre.

Please note Harris Jayaraj songs from Ko are topping the charts. The song Ennamo Yeadho is the number one for the last three weeks in a row on all countdowns.

The Condition Of Sri Sathya Sai Baba Is Still Critical

The condition of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is still critical as some of his vital systems were not ‘adequately responding’ to treatment. A bulletin issued by A N Safaya, Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS) at Prasanthigram near Puttaparthi, said the 85-year-old Sai Baba continued to be on ventilator support for helping his respiration and suction of secretion from the lungs.

State has increased their presence around the hospital in Puttaparthi as devotees prayed for his wellbeing there. He professes to be the reincarnation --a human being who declares himself divine - from the 19th century.

Sai Baba counts former Indian Prime Ministers, prominent businessmen and India’s cricketers among his followers. Sai Baba was admitted last week with lung and chest congestion, doctors say. The apparent materializing of vibuthi (holy ash) and small objects such as rings, necklaces and watches by Sathya Sai Baba has been a source of fame.
