Traffic 2011’s trendsetter in Malayalam directed by Rajesh Pillai is likely to be remade in Tamil.
The big buzz in Kerala is that Kamal Haasan is going to play an important role in the film!
Traffic is a brilliant film (sify.com had given it 5 star rating), as the lives of three male leads, who does not know each other cross.
It is three simultaneous stories that criss-cross a pattern used in quite a few International films like Babel, Amores Perros and Crash among others.
The Malayalam media is full of stories of how "Kamal sir got bowled over by Traffic" , which was not only a trendsetter but a hit at the box-office.
After seeing the film it seems Kamal expressed a desire to do the film in Tamil.
And surprisingly Kamal has not chosen the lead role of traffic constable Sudevan played by Sreenivasan but preferred to do the role of superstar Siddharth essayed by Rahman.
The buzz is that since Kamal’s next film with Selvaraghavan Viswaroopam is getting delayed due to visa hassles for the crew, the actor can squeeze in the Traffic remake in Tamil.
But sources close to the actor are tight lipped about whether he will do the film planned as a quickie.
