Deiva Thirumagan Had A Lot Of Problems Regarding Its Title

Vikram’s Vijay directed Deiva Thirumagan had a lot of problems regarding its title.

First producer Mogan Natarajan and his team had wanted the title Deivamagan, a famous Sivaji Ganesan film whose title rights were with Sivaji Films.

They refused to part with the title as they wanted it to be given to the launch title of actor Prabhu’s son Vikram. It was then that director Vijay and his team came up with an even more catchy title Deiva Thirumagan.

Now leaders of the Thevar community have demanded that such a name should not be given to a film.

Their point was the title film of is misleading as their great leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar was known in the community as Deiva Thirumagan .

The Tamil Nadu unit of the Shiva Sena under its leader Dhiraviya Pandian met chief minister Karunanidhi and has requested him to persuade the producers of Deiva Thirumagan to change the films title.
