Bharath Injured His Hands In Shooting

The upcoming film “Vaanam” co-stars Simbu and Bharath together for the first time. When the shooting of the film was being held recently, actor Bharath injured his hands resulting in the suspension of the shooting schedule.

“Vaanam” is the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit film “Vedam”, which starred hottie Anoushka Shetty in an important role a la “Arundhati”. The Tamil version stars Simbu, Bharath and Sneha Ullal (who had earlier acted in the film ‘Ennai Theriyuma?’ which released last year.

Directed by Girish, the film’s shooting was taking place at Hyderabad recently. As per the sequence that was shot on the said day, Bharath was to come running and fall on the incoming Jeep, driven by one of the villain’s henchmen. The director and the stunt choreographer reportedly told Bharath in advance that the sequence could be shot using a duplicate.

Bharath, however, would have none of it. He said he’d do the sequence on his own. When the sequence was being shot, Bharath came running hard and jumped into the front portion of the Jeep. The glass promptly broke into pieces but the splinters injured his hands, which resulted in bleeding. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was treated for the injuries.

Returning to Chennai afterwards, Bharath said that he had been advised to rest for four days after which he would be re-starting his shooting schedule.
