Actress Genelia Saved From IIFA Controversy In Tamil

Recently Kollywood was buzzing with rumours about actress Genelia being saved from being issued a red card as a result of the Iifa controversy by producer Aascar Ravichandran. She has been roped in by the producer to star opposite Vijay in Velayudham.

Sources who are close to Genelia, revealed that the Mumbai-based actress was not aware of the controversy surrounding the Tamil film industry and the Iifa and she was all set to leave for Colombo.

However, at the last minute she was cautioned by Aascar who advised her not to attend the event. Luckily, the actress quickly realised the gravity of the situation and knew that she might lose out on a big film if she went ahead, so she decided to stay back. In fact, Genelia is reported to have said that she respected the sentiments of the Tamil film industry and that’s why she decided to stay back.
