AR Rahman Had Bought The Oscar Award By Paying

Bollywood music director Ismail Durbar has claimed that AR Rahman had bought the Oscar Award by paying for it.

This had stirred the hornet’s nest with several people in the film industry alleging that Durbar is making such statements for some cheap publicity.

On the other hand, AR Rahman has said that there is certainly no money involved in the Oscar Awards. He added that the coveted award is given with the consensus of about 3000 people and it is impossible to buy it.

The film fraternity has appealed to Durbar to refrain from making such comments. They added that every Indian should be proud that AR Rahman had achieved this feat by sheer hard work and hence should not doubt its veracity.

Magistrate Declared Kavya Madhavan And Nischal Divorced

The Ernakulam Family Court had issued a divorce decree to Kavya Madhavan. The actress was married to Nischal Chandra, who is employed as an officer in Kuwait.

Soon after marriage, Kavya quit acting to stay with her husband in Kuwait.

However, within five months of marriage she developed differences of opinion with her husband and returned to India. She then filed for divorce and continued to concentrate on her acting career.

Her divorce came up for hearing recently and the magistrate declared Kavya and Nischal divorced.

Superstar Rajinikanths Health Is Fast Improving

Rajinikanth, who is undergoing treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore, has been shifted to the private ward where he has been allotted a suite.

The Superstar was in the Intensive Care Unit but the doctors felt that he can be shifted to the private ward as his health is fast improving.

Following this, he was shifted to the private ward where the doctors will continue with the treatment.

Rajini has been admitted for kidney related problems and the doctors are analyzing if he requires a kidney transplant, it is said.

Amitabh Recommended The Hospital For Rajini’s Treatment

Amitabh Bachchan had recommended the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre for Rajinikanth’s treatment, sources in Kollywood say.

The Big B is a close buddy of Rajinikanth and when he came to know that he was suffering from kidney disorder, he immediately rushed to his rescue.

Amitabh recommended the hospital for Rajini’s treatment because his close associate Amar Singh had undergone a kidney transplant at the same hospital and he was doing fine.

Following Big B’s advice, the Superstar’s family decided to pursue his medical treatment there.

Raja Pattai Vikram’s New Film With Suseendran

Vikram’s new film with Suseendran is to be called Raja Pattai produced by SP Creations. Dheekshs Seth, the gorgeous babe who made a name for herself in the Telugu film industry will be his heroine.

Suseendran, director of films like Vennila Kabaddi Kulu, Naan Mahaan Alla, and Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai will be giving the audience yet another different film with Raja Pattai. This flick is going to be a genre-bender that combines action, romance, and comedy.

The story is set in Chennai, so shooting will proceed in and around the city and is likely to be completed within a span of 60 days. There are five songs in this film. Massive sets are being erected for three of them, while location scouts are hunting for never – before – seen spots abroad for the other two.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music. Camera will be handled by Madhie. National award winner, Thambi Ramiah and director Viswanath are also part of the cast.

Velayudham Vijay At Director Jayam Raja Birthday Party

Director Jayam Raja received a pleasant surprise on his birthday. Workaholic that he is, he was busy shooting some sequences for Velayudham at Binny Mills.

During an intermission, he was in for a shock as a beautifully decorated cake was wheeled in with his name on it.

The director was quite overcome with joy and he cut the cake while the entire unit cheered for him and wished him a Happy Birthday.

It turned out that Vijay had planned the whole celebration and kept it a secret from him.

Thoughtful person that he is he had also arranged surprise parties for Hansika, cinematographer Priyan, and Saranya Mohan on their birthdays. Very sweet of him, we must say.

Rajni's Health Is Most Discussed Issues In India

The great thing about Rajinikanth fans is that they range from casual labourers to fellow film stars to bureaucrats to even state rulers. Today, Rajni’s health condition is one of the most discussed issues in India and among the Indian diaspora.

Some of his doctor fans, based on the reports emerging from the hospital, opine that their superstar might be admitted with a condition called "Pleural effusion", which is an excessive accumulation of fluid in the chest cavity and lungs.

The doctor fans also said that pleural effusion may be a result of a heart condition, liver cirrhosis or bacterial pneumonia, to name a few possible reasons. They believe that Rajinikanth’s pleural effusion might be the result of pneumonia or a liver condition.

The actor had undergone intercostal drain (the draining of the excess fluid accumulated in the chest through an insertion of a plastic tube to the chest).

Rajinikanth was shifted from the ICU on Sunday, and is reported to be doing well. Prayers and get well messages from the actor’s fans are pouring in, and the officials at Ramachandra Hospital are having a hard time convincing fans, who are thronging to get a glimpse of their superstar.

Maveeran Received An A Certificate On Censor Board

Tollywood producer-distributer Allu Aravind’s stupendous blockbuster Magadheera, directed by S.S. Rajamouli with Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, which is being dubbed in Tamil as Maveeran, received an A certificate from the Censor Board recently.

We have just learnt from the makers that the Tamil version will hit screens on May 27, 2011.

The biggest hit in the history of Telugu Cinema, Magadheera recently completed 600 days. Produced under the banner of Geeta Arts, Magadheera was released worldwide on July 31 last year in around 1200 screens in 14 countries.

A Very Happy Birthday Tom Actor Karthi

Sivakumar, the rough and tough hero of Paruthi Veeran, is celebrating his birthday today. Greatly inspired by his father Sivakumar and brother Suriya, Karthi stepped into filmdom after a brief stint as assistant to Mani Ratnam in Ayudha Ezhuthu. Jayalalithaa Inquired About Rajinikanth Health Condition

Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa spoke to Latha Rajnikanth over phone and inquired about the health condition of her husband and Super Star Rajinikanth, who has been admitted in a hospital in Chennai.

Jayalalithaa conveyed her wishes for a speedy recovery. She also thanked her for a letter congratulating her success in the elections written to her by Rajinikanth.

Latha described her about the treatment being given to Rajinikanth by the doctors.

Actress Meera Jasmine Is Likely To Quit Movies Soon

National award winning actress Meera Jasmine, who has garnered over 35 awards in her filmi career of 10 years for her impressive performances in some of the best super hits in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, is likely to quit movies soon.

One of the reasons behind her retirement from movies is said to be her upcoming marriage with her long time beau Mandolin Rajesh. Mandolin Rajesh, who belongs to an orthodox Hindu family in Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, announced in October 2010 that he would marry the actress in 2011.

Another reason is her back-to-back debacles. The actress had a string of flops in Malayalam in the last two years: Minnaminikootam, Calcutta News, Ore Kadal, Pattinte Palazhi and Mohabbat.

Her recent Tamil films Pen Singam and Ilanjian were too colossal flops. The buzz is that due to the failure of her films at the box office, no producer is willing to sign her up, forcing her to quit films.

Asin Is All Set To Romance Shahrukh Khans 2 States

After romancing two of the three Khans in Bollywood (Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Salman Khan in London Dreams and Ready), Bollywood sensation and South Indian beauty Asin is all set to romance the third Khan, none other than Shahrukh Khan in his new film titled 2 States, a screen adaption of bestseller ’Two States’ written by Chetan Bhagat, reports said.

According to sources, Asin has been chosen for the heroine’s role, because the lead female character in the novel is a Tamil. The film will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Reportedly, Asin was the first choice of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Vishal Bhardwaj. Asin is already working in Nadiadwala’s another production Housefull 2.

Velayudham Will Be A Non-Stop Rollicking Mass Movie

Vijay’s much awaited film Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja is is in its final stages. Vijay will reportedly enact a typical Rajinikanth’s Annamalai type milkman role, who bashes baddies with the help of an investigative television reporter.

This mass entertainer stars Genelia, Hansika and Saranya Mohan, Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar, Sathyan, Pandirajan and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles.

According to director Raja, Velayudham will be a non-stop rollicking mass movie with all commercial ingredients packaged to provide maximum entertainment. The buzz is that in a bid to hit out at Vijay’s detractors, there will be a lot of punch dialogues in this film produced by Aascar Ravichandran.

Vijay Antony has come out with some peppy mass songs that will surely become chartbusters. The film is expected to grace theatres in August and reports suggest that Tamil Nadu’s new CM J. Jayalalithaa will launch the music of this film.

Aadukalam Won National Awards For Best Tamil Movie

The 58th National awards have just been announced and many artists from the Tamil industry have been declared winners.

Aadukalam had a very good showing, picking up six awards. Vetrimaaran was given awards for best direction and best screenplay and Dhanush was adjudged the best actor for his inspired performance. The film also picked up an award for best choreography by Dinesh.

Endhiran also impressed scooping up three awards for special effects, art direction, and production. Saranya Ponvannan received an award for her turn in Thenmerku Paruvakattru and Vairamuthu, got an award for his lyrics in the same movie.

Thambi Ramiah won in the best supporting actor category for his delightful role in Mynaa. Our hearty congratulations to the winners, you have made us proud!

Dhanush And Saranya Ponvannan Bagged National Awards

Tamil cinema is dominating the 58th National awards.

Dhanush has bagged the prestigious Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as KP Karuppu in the film, Aadukalam.

Aadukalam has won five awards for Best Actor, Best Director (Vetrimaran), Best Screenplay (Vetrimaran), Best Editor ( Kishore Te) and Best Choreographer (Dinesh Master).

Thambi Ramiah won in the best supporting actor category for his comedy cop role in Mynaa.

Rajinikanth’s Shankar directed Enthiran bagged three awards for special effects, art direction (Sabu Cyril), and production.

Vairamuthu, is the best lyric writer for his song in Thenmerukku Paravakattu.

Saranya Ponvannan gets the best actress award for Thenmerukku Paravakattu.

The 58th National Film Awards 2011 Winners Tamil

Just a little while ago, The 58th National Film Awards have been announced and Dhanush has been honored with the Best Actor Award for his role in the film ‘Aadukalam’.

It is not only limited to Dhanush, Director Vetrimaran also bagged National Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Best Choreography is Dhinesh Kumar, Best Editor Kishore.te. Aadukalam turned out to be stupendous success and has grossed almost 16 Crores at the box office.

Saranya Ponvannan wins National award for Thenmerku Paruvakatru. The best Tamil film was given to Thenmerku Paruvakatre while Best Supporting Actor was Thambi Ramaiyah (Mynaa) and Best Lyricist is Vairamuthu (Thenmerku Paruvakatre), Best Supporting Actress is Sukumari, Finally, Aadukalam sweeps a total of six National Awards.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Endhiran also bagged award for Best Special Effects and Best production design.

Meanwhile, Versatile Prakash Raj has won National Award for the fifth time. His film Puttakkana Highway was given the Best Regional Film in Kannada. Apart from acting in the film, Prakash Raj also produced the film.

K Balachander who has been conferred with Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his outstanding contribution to cinema.

Kushboo Resigned Chinna Thiraio Producers Council President

Actress Kushboo, who joined DMK part and campaigned for it through out Tamilnadu, has resigned to her post of Chinna Thiraio Producers council president. The actress has resigned to her party, after the assembly elections pool results were released on Friday.

Kushboo is busy with her TV serial commitments and is also busy with some movie roles as well. She was a brave and fiery woman and defended DMK government of Karunandihi, on television, when the government was held as the main culprit in 2G scam.

Actress Kushboo made up her mind, to continue in the DMK party, after the defeat. But sources report that some of the party members, which include a cabinet minister, were against her presence in DMK.

They alleged that the actress bonding with DMK, paved way for the debacle of DMK party, in constituencies, where it was considered to be strong initially. They also add that DMK lost a major portion of constituencies, in areas where kushboo has campaigned, which is untrue.

Except for the karunanidhi family members, none of DMK party leaders were happy with the association of kushboo with DMK. They feel that her support to Premarital relation has done the damage for their party in the elections. So, in this way psychologically, actress kushboo was hurt by these allegations against her and choose to resign.

But factually speaking, Tamilnadu populace were vexed up with Karunanidhi’s government and scams and so opted for a change with Jayalalitha taking the state reigns as the chief minister.

Zarine Khan Has Stepped Into Kollywood Films

Bollywood actress zarine khan has finally decided to foray in south films. The Tamil cinema news sources are buzzing with the reports that the actress has stepped into Kollywood with a movie opposite to Chiyan Vikram.

Zarine khan will be playing female lead in the movie “Karikalan”, which will be directed by Kannan.

Earlier, there were reports that Katrina Kaif will play the lead in the film. But due to her high fees and non availability of dates, Zarine khan was roped into the film.

Zarine khan hails from a middle class family, who was a bit financially weak, due to business losses. Bollywood actor Salman khan gave Zarine a big break with VEER and then she is now stabilizing in her professional and personnel life.

Actress Zarine khan has disclosed that she is open to south film industry and would like to act in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies as well. Presently, zarine khan has hinted a Tamil tutor, to learn a bit of Tamil language and speaking skills.

Harish Jayaraj will compose the music for ‘Karikalan’ and the movie will e produced by Silver line film factory.

Karthi Next Film Political Entertainer Titled Saguni

Karthi Sivakumar, who was engaged to Erode based Ranjani on Friday, has already began his working on his next film, a political entertainer titled Saguni, to be directed by Sankar Dayal, a former associate to Ezhil and S.D. Saba.

Dream Warriors will produce this action flick and music director G.V. Prakash will compose its tunes.

P.C. Muthiah will be the cinematographer while Sreekaran Prasad is the editor. Rajeevan will take care of the art department. More details are awaited.

100 Percent Love Has Completed Censor Formalities

Director Sukumar’s Naga Chaitanya-Tamannaah starrer 100 Percent Love (also spelt 100% Love) has completed censor formalities.

The film has been awarded a clean ’U’ certificate by the Censor Board on April 27 and the film is now due for release on May 6.

Bunny Vasu, who is making his debut as a producer, expressed his confidence in the success of the film.

100 Percent Love is an entertaining love story. It will appeal mainly to the youth. We have been receiving overwhelming response to the music (scored by Devi Sri Prasad).

The film was completed within the budget and it will surely be a hit, he said.

100 Percent Love is produced under the banner of Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts. Allu Aravind is the presenter. The film stars Naga Chaitanya as a college student, while Tamannaah plays a village girl.

Mallika Sherawat is being hounded for quotes on the Big O. On Obama, that is (what did you imagine?). The saucy actress, who sashayed into suburban Mumbai recently to gyrate and jive to a dance number for Double Dhamaal at Mehboob Studios was in her element… acerbic and witty and candid… as usual.

Shah Rukh Khan Not Kissed Kareena In Ra.One

Shah Rukh Khan is annoyed these days. He is disturbed with the reports that he has liplocked Kareena in his upcoming movie Ra. One.

The actor, who has probably not kissed her any of his co-stars in his 22-year career, says he would never do so in future as well.

The actor on the occasion of promoting a luxury brand said he is not comfortable doing a liplocking scene and even asked his fans not to believe in everything they hear about him.

SRK candidly puts that before signing any film his one of the conditions is he wont shoot such intimate scenes.

Deepika Padukones Song Sequence Shooting For Rana

Even as the hospital buzz centred around an ailing Rajinikanth, admitted to a Chennai hospital recently owing to breathlessness and fever gathered momentum… and fans went into an overdrive of fervent prayers and more… a certain Deepika Padukone, his co actor in Rana went about her job with finesse and equanimity.

Word has it that a solo song sequence was canned with DP, and that she filmed for close to 15 to 17 hours everyday and wrapped up her part minus any hiccups. Incidentally, Deepika dons a 17th century ’look’ with a South Indian touch in the film. Her dedication has thrilled director K. S. Ravikumar who’s been lauding her in panegyrics to media masses.

States Ravikumar in a tabloid chat, "Deepika shot for 70 per cent of the song and the rest of the number which is a dream sequence will be filmed with Rajni Sir and her in London. We also shot a few solo sequences with her. She was very professional, talented and a nice actor and a dream to work with."

The second schedule of Rana is expected to roll in July 2011. "Deepika will join us again in June 2011 for the shooting," says Ravikumar.

Engeyum Kadhal Movie Review Tamil Film 2011

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Paris, the world capital of love, Engeyum Kadhal directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by A G S Entertainment, pivots around LOVE, a theme which could be relatable to a wide section of the audience. The film languorously opens up with the Engeyum Kadhal number with Prabhudeva’s slow motion movements criss-crossing the various lovers in Paris and the introduction of his lead characters.

EK is about the rich hero Kamal (Jeyam Ravi) who works hard for 11 months and relaxes for one month in a year and what happens when he meets Kayal Vizhi (Hansika) in one of such sojourns. As the name suggests, it is love love and love everywhere and Prabhu Deva has used this premise to tell his story and the three major components which help him in this undertaking are pleasing cinematography, vibrant music and uber-chic costumes.

Nirav Shah takes us round the breathtaking France and other overseas locales in an enjoyable fashion and Nalini Sriram’s costumes bring about the rich and the trendy look of the lead characters in a fine manner. Harris Jayaraj’s mostly mellifluous numbers are also one of the key positive contributing factors to EK. Having said that, EK almost appears like a musical with a song being thrown in every now and then and Nenjil Nenjil, Nangai and Thee Illai emerge winners from the group.

Although Prabhu Deva has such major supporting features by his side, he has failed to utilize them to the fullest. The intentions may be worthy but the execution is frivolous. This is a clear case of a weak content failing a movie despite support from other departments. The screenplay is given a short shrift by the director and EK goes south in the engrossing scale too.

The love between the lead characters is very shallow and EK never makes you invest enough emotions in its characters. EK is also plagued by feeble characterization. The premise of the film may be soaked in love but the reason why the lead pair falls in love with each other appears very flimsy and lacks depth resulting in a flat and abrupt climax. Added to that, there is no chemistry between Ravi and Hansika.

In the name of comedy Raju Sundaram is irksome and Suman is completely wasted. And the boy who is shown to have a crush on Hansika is a caricature. The lip sync of the heroine is not in tune and the voice of the dubbing artist is highly pretentious. There are not many redeeming factors which makes the two hour and five minutes film seem much longer than its actual period.
Jeyam Ravi looks smart and scores well in the dancing department. It is also interesting to hear him take a dig at his own voice and the ticket checking scene in the train is delightful. But unfortunately such patches of goodness are far and few in between and the film fails to connect.

Hindu Political Groups Protest Against Simbu's Vaanam

A Hindu political group has launch protest against the screening of Simbu’s Vaanam in Chennai recently.

The police arrested the protesters and later released them. According to the group, the film showcases the Hindu fundamentalists in a bad light.

Also, in a particular scene a Hindu leader (look alike of Hindu Munani leader Muthalik) forces a young couple to tie the knot, which has also not gone well with the supporters.

The group has also sent legal notices to the film’s director Krish and distributor Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine.

Tollywood Superstar Jr.NTR Married Lakshmi Pranathi

Young Tollywood superstar Jr. NTR married Lakshmi Pranathi on Thursday night at HITEX, Hyderabad. The marriage ceremony took place at 2.41 a.m., the auspicious time set by the priests.

Earlier, a reception was held in a grand manner. Over 10000 guests, including family members, VVIPs, VIPs, politicians, celebrities and fans blessed this newly wedded couple.

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, his cabinet colleagues, actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, superstar of yesteryears Akkineni Nageswara Rao, D. Rama Naidu, Chandrababu Naidu, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan Teja, Dasari Narayana Rao, Prabhu, Karthik, Priyamani, Lakshmi Manchu, Amala, Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya graced the occasion.

Jr. NTR is the son of N. Harikrishna, eldest son of late N.T. Rama Rao, film thespian and the founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Pranathi is the daughter of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s niece Narne Mallika.

Rajinikanth Diehard Fans Started Mobbing The Hospital

Superstar Rajinikanth was back to normal yesterday after being admitted to a Chennai hospital on Wednesday with breathlessness and fever.

Rajni’s hospitalization news spreaded like wild fire and his diehard fans started mobbing the hospital.

However, Rajni’s family members have requested his fans and relatives not to visit him in the hospital.

According to sources, doctors have advised him total rest and he will be under observation for two more days.

"There’s nothing to worry. He is perfectly fine," Rajni’s elder daughter Aishwarya Dhanush was quoted as saying.

This is the second time the southern Superstar was hospitalized within a week. Earlier, the actor complained about some uneasiness on the sets of his much-hyped film Rana and was rushed to hospital immediately.

Prithviraj And Supriya In New York For Their Honeymoon

Young superstar Prithviraj and his journalist-wife Supriya Menon have reportedly left for New York for their honeymoon.

The newlywed couple is expected to spend more than a week in the city and will also attend the special screening of Veettilekkulla Vazhi at the New York International Film festival, which commenced on May 4.

Notably, the romance between Prithviraj and Supriya began during the making of Veettilekkulla Vazhi, in which Supriya was doing the sub-titling. It may be a coincidence that the couple celebrates their honeymoon in New York, where Veettilekkulla Vazhi is being screened.

Prithviraj and Supriya got married at a private wedding ceremony in Palakkad on April 25. They hosted separate wedding receptions for relatives and the film fraternity on April 30 and May 1.

Jr.NTR's Marriage With Lakshmi Pranathi On May 5

Young Tiger Jr. NTR’s marriage with Lakshmi Pranathi will be held in a grant manner today night (May 5) at HITEX, Hyderabad. The arrangements are almost done.

Over 10,000 guests, including celebrities, politicians and relatives, will attend the marriage ceremony. Jr. NTR is reported to have invited 5,000 fans to his wedding.

The cost of the mega event is expected to be over Rs. 22 crores. The cost of the kalyana mandapam, erected at HITEX under the supervision of art director Anand, is said to be a whopping Rs. 18 crores.

The wedding cards, designed in Delhi according to suggestions given by Jr. NTR’s father Nandamuri Hari Krishna, cost Rs. 3000 per card.

A special song has been composed by Arjun for the wedding and Chaitanya Krishna and Geetha Madhuri have sung the track, while Vasanth has penned the lyrics. The food is catered by one of the best catering companies from Vijayawada.

Tamil Actor Alex Magician Died At A Private Hospital

Actor Alex, who was also a popular magician, died at a private hospital in Chennai Sunday evening following a brief illness. He was 52. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Alex, who made his debut with ‘Valli’, produced by Superstar Rajinikanth, had acted in 100 films and had 25 more on hand. He won the Best Character Actor Award from Tamil Nadu government for his performance in ‘Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi’.

He was well-known as a magician before he entered movie world, according to sources close to the family. The State government had also conferred the coveted ‘Kalaimamani’ award on the magician-actor.

Alex had also worked as an office-bearer of the South Indian Film Artistes’ Association.
He had etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Record as well as the Limca Book of Records for performing magic non-stop for 24 hours.

Rajinikanth Takes Every Film As His First Movie

Superstar Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer ’Rana’ shooting started at AVM studios in Chennai on Friday in the presence of popular film personalities. Since Rajinikanth fell ill in the shooting and was rushed to hospital for immediate treatment, the movie unit decided to postpone the shooting for a week. He was rushed to Isabella hospital in Chennai. After primary treatment, he was advised a one week rest by the doctors.

K S Ravikumar is directing this film and A R Rahman is composing music for it. This picture is produced by Eros International and also stars Sonu Sood in a significant role. Two leading ladies other than Deepika Padukone are yet to be finalised. Rajni plays triple role in this flick that will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It is expected to release sometime next year.

"Rajinikanth takes every film as his first movie. He was uneasy for the past two three days and the heat of Chennai must have taken a toll on him. He will be fine in a week and we will resume shooting then. Anyway we don’t need his dates immediately. His part of the shooting is in London and then in Chennai which will be shot only in June this year" the director K S Ravikumar is believed to have told media.

Actor Vishal His Next Project Is Walter Vanangamudi

Actor Vishal and his fans are all geared up for the release of his forthcoming movie ‘Avan Ivan.’

While his forthcoming movie is eagerly awaited by all to watch him play “Walter Vanangamudi”, looks like his next project, an action packed thriller under Prabhu Deva’s direction will be titled as ‘Prabhakaran’ or ‘Prabha.’

The movie will see Vishal play the role of a cop, this is his second flick where he plays a cop, his first being ‘Sathyam’ that was well-received by all for his performance.

The movie has Sameera Reddy playing Vishal’s love, and Vivek will entertain the audiences with his comedy scenes, while the music is composed by Vijay Antony.

Sources say that in this movie, Vishal will play a very serious role where the protagonist doesn’t take breaks in doing song sequences with his lady love or joke around but is a serious police officer! They also add that the movie is the remake of Tollywood super hit, ‘Shouryam’ that was directed by Gopichand.

So what’s the update on the progress of the movie? The climax is now being shot in a village near Hyderabad with which around 80% of the movie will be completed. The movie is all set for a release on Independence Day, August 15!

Engeyum Kadhal Has Been Confirmed For Release On May 6

He is more than six feet tall with good looks and a smile that can knock you down on to your feet – the right material for a lead’s role in any romantic film. And that is exactly what Prabhu Deva has done signing Jayam Ravi as his hero for the soon-to-be-released film ‘Engeyum Kadhal.’ Hansika Motwani will play female lead in this rom-com and this film will make people fall in love with it, claims the director of the film.

The film’s music, which recently hit stands, has been received very well and Harris Jayaraj has delivered yet another hit album with this film. ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ sees Ravi as a young entrepreneur in France for whom love does not exist.
