Madras High Court Given A Stay Order For Kaavalan

Vijay and Asin’s fans from abroad will have to wait for the next six weeks to watch their latest Tamil movie Kaavalan. The film was set to release in a couple of weeks but the Madras High court has given a stay order for other countries except India. The reason behind this delay is a conflict regarding the distribution rights of the film.

Justice S Rajeswaran on Wednesday gave the stay order for Kaavalan in reply to a complaint filed by the Singapore-based Tantra Incorporated Private Limited, which claimed to have got the rights of distribution of the move throughout the world except in India. Tantra said that as per their agreement, the makers cannot sell the rights of distribution of the movie to any other company without their consent.

On September 29th, the defendant Ekaveera Creations and the plaintiff Tantra signed an agreement regarding this distribution rights and the deal was finalized at a total amount of 5.50 crore. Both the parties agreed not to sell the rights to anyone else without the knowledge of the plaintiff.

But, when Ekaveera did not respond to the plaintiff’s repeated requests of revealing the details of the rights given the other company Cinema Paradise, they filed this case. Moreover, on November 18th, Ekaveera issued a letter which threatened to cancel the agreement with plaintiff. Tantra even agreed to pay the rest of money.

19-year-old Akshara has surprised her friends by posting their picture on a social networking site.

According to reports, a year ago, the couple came to know each other through one of their common friends.

Since then, their relationship has grown stronger. But Akshara’s parents does not know about their love and they just know that they are good friends, adds report.

Akshara, younger sister of talented Shruti Hassan, is gearing up to mark her debut in films. She is currently working with ad film-maker Rahul Dholakia as an assistant director.

The most-talked-about couple of the recent times Prabhu Deva and Nayantara are in the news again. This time, they are in the news for verbal spat in public over Prabhu’s closeness with another actress.

Shankar's 3 Idiots Remake Titled Moovar

Shankar’s next film has been tentatively titled Moovar. The director, who has been considering some titles like Nanban and 3 Rascals, has finally zeroed in on Tamil version of the film. The movie is a remake of blockbuster Hindi film 3 Idiots.

Earlier, the movie was reportedly titled 3 Rascals. But the movie bosses have decided to retain this title for Telugu and change Moovar for Tamil version, say sources. The movie will hit the floors on December 5.

According to reports, Shankar has made some changes in the script to suit the taste of the regional audience. The director is reportedly planning to cast two female leads in the film. But in the original version, there was only one female lead, which was played by Kareena Kapoor.

Shankar has already roped in Ileana for the first lead. But he is yet to reveal about second female lead. The Tamil version features Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and others in the cast. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music and Manoj Paramahamsa will handle the camera.

Actress Trisha Krishnan Is Very Happy

South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan is very happy with the way her acting career is shaping up down south. Though her debut film in Bollywood did not fare well at the box-office, it has certainly not affected her demand in the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

Halle Berry has revealed that she wants to have another baby. The Oscar-winning star has a two-year-old daughter, Nahla, with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, and Berry admits she loves to give the youngster a sibling.

"You make time for what’s important. She’s not yet three, so I take her with me.
