Rajinikanth Decided To Do Baadshah 2

Close on the heels of the final touches being given to his upcoming film ‘Enthiran: The Robot’, superstar Rajni has reportedly decided to give a surprise to his fans by announcing that he would soon be starting work in a film titled ‘Baadshah-2’, reports say.

Rajni had stared in the superhit film ‘Baadshah’, which in the hindsight reveals that it happens to be one of the superstar’s all-time hit movies. Rajni’s double roles in the film were well received by the audience who made the film run to packed houses for more than 150 days when it released in the mid-nineties.

Though the film has been titled ‘Baadshah-2’, the film’s story would have nothing to do with ‘Baadshah’ and that it won’t be a sequel to the latter, it is learnt. Sources close to Satyha Movies say that the script of the new film would be as interesting and as energetic as many of Rajni’s previous hits. The office of Sathya Movies has been very busy with finalizing the script and selecting the artistes to star in various roles in the film.

When queried for further info on the issue, these sources said that a formal announcement would be made very soon by the superstar and Sathya Movies jointly. A couple of months ago, Rajni had said that R.M. Veerappan, who runs Sathya Movies, was one of the very few persons who had ‘suffered losses’ because of him.

Rajni agreeing to star in ‘Baadshah-2’ could be to compensate for the losses, it is believed. Rajni reportedly took part in the story discussion held recently in the office of Sathya Movies, it is reported. The director of the film is kept as a secret for the time being. It could even be Hari, whose last film ‘Singam’ starring Suriya and Anoushkia has been declared as a ‘superhit’ fim.
