Iyakkunar Sangam Will Touch Its 40th Year

‘Be Indian, buy Indian and….. start a sangam’. It’s a pleasure to let you all know that our ‘Iyakkunar Sangam’ will touch its 40th year this October. Trust me this is never going to be as simple as ever!

What does the association have to say?

Framed to suit the needs and requirements of the South Indian Film Directors, the Sangam holds in possession legends such as Gemini Vasan, T.R. Sundaram, A.V.Meyyappan, A.C.Trilokchander, Mahendran, Balumahendra, BarathiRaja, Maniratham, and many many more legends to adorn its crown.

October 23rd will witness the grand festivity of the 40th year celebration with guests and directors pouring in from all over the country. The association along with other cinematic associations of south India will be celebrating it with pomp and ecstasy. When questioned if they would bring in political leaders? The association gave a simple yet powerful draft.. ‘We know what we are supposed to do and never bring in politics with this thought in mind’. Anyways the part would be played by Jayalalitha or Kalaignar..
