Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin Playing A Solo Hero With Genelia

For the past few months, rumour has been doing rounds in Kollywood that producer Udhayanidhi (son of deputy chief minister Stalin) of Red Giant Movies would soon be debuting as hero in films. Many were seen debating as to whether he would be debuting as a solo hero or be part of a multi-starrer film. The doubt has now been cleared with the announcement that Udhayanidhi would indeed be playing a solo hero.

It is said that Rajesh, who directed the Jeeva-Anuya starrer ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ early last year, would be directing Udhaya in his debut film. The new film would have comedy as its main theme, which is Rajesh’s forte. Producer Srinivasan, whose Rajesh-directed ‘Baas Engira Baskaran’ starring Aarya and Nayantara is ready for release, is very happy about Rajesh’s new venture.

Srinivasan knows for a fact that the success of ‘Bass….’ at the box-office would give a facelift to Rajesh’s new film starring Udhaya and is hoping that Udhaya would come forward to take up the distribution and release of the film all over the State (sounds hypothetical, though!).

Meanwhile, hunt is on for the heroine to pair up opposite Udhaya in his debut film. Even as the hunt is on, Udhaya has reportedly told the director that his personal choice would be Genelia De’Souza. Considering that the chirpy Genelia is busy in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, would she be willing to pair up opposite a newcomer is anybody’s guess!
